The number of people leaving their homes in Azerbaijan has increased since the easing of the quarantine regime on April 27.
Unfortunately, many people who go out do not wear masks and gloves and do not maintain social distance. Could this step lead to a second wave of coronavirus?
Speaking to the local media, Musa Guliyev, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Labour and Social Policy, said that the easing of the quarantine regime showed that most of our people do not understand how serious the issue is:
“It does not follow the general rules of discipline and safety. Maybe that’s why the Operations Headquarters can extend the quarantine regime. Or if the second wave comes, we can move to a long-term quarantine regime. This is a very serious matter. The weather is warming. They achieved good results during the strict quarantine regime. Apparently, this reassured our people. I think there is no need for it. In recent days, we see more coronavirus infections. The threat is not over yet. The virus may continue for some time. We can be sure that the coronavirus will end in the world. Therefore, our citizens must be a little more careful and cautious. People should not go out at unnecessary times. Our citizens should not be in crowded places when it is not necessary. In addition, our people should follow the rules of isolation, maintaining social distance. Coronavirus is a very serious matter. We should be concerned about the reassurance of citizens so quickly. ”
