ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) has registered the highest testing ratio in Pakistan as by May 1, 343 persons were diagnosed with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) while 5,811 were tested negative, according to the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat.
Sharing data of area wise distribution of COVID-19 Cases in the ICT, the Deputy Commission Islamabad apprised that the highest number of Confirmed Coronavirus Cases were detected in I-10 Sector wherein 36 people were tested positive followed by Tarlai with 32 Cases, Bhara Kahu with 31 Cases, and Lohibher with 25 Cases.
The ICT recorded four deaths which occurred in F-10, G-13, Rawat, and Tarlai.
The data further revealed that Bhara Kahu had a total of 17 recoveries, the highest among all areas of the ICT.

Hamza Shafqaat further told that the infected persons in the ICT included 71 percent male and 29 percent female. He also told that one female patient was among four deaths having so far taken place in Islamabad.
Likewise, the persons in the age group of 30-39 years had the most number of affectees as 89 of them were infected. Moreover, 63 COVID-19 patients were aged between 40-49, 58 were aged between 20-29, and 42 were aged between 50-59.
Separately, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad told that in the ongoing holy month of Ramazan, the Price Control Magistrates inspected 1,500 shops in the ICT, and slapped penalties worth Rs 1,731,500.
