Al-Qaeda presence in Islamabad confirms

ISLAMABAD: Terrorist outfits including Al-Qaeeda and Lakshar-i-Jhangvi have strongest presence in Islamabad, says government of Pakistan. Interior Ministry of Pakistan has indicated in a report that capital of Pakistan Islamabad is the most dangerous place in Pakistan regarding terrorism where Al-Qaeeda, Lakshar-i-Jhangvi and other terrorist outfits have Sleeping Circles that can be used anytime against the state of Pakistan. “Islamabad is most dangerous place and hub of terrorists in Pakistan”, commented intelligence circles fearing a strong backlash of any possible action in tribal areas of Pakistan against terrorists.

The report has been prepared by the Ministry of Interior on the instruction of Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif. The report further indicates that these sleeping circles have potential to take over the capital of Pakistan instantly in case Pakistan tries to crush Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in North and South Waziristan. Report also indicates that Sadr, Westridge, Masrial Road, IJP Road and Pir Wadai are Hot spots were thousands of Afghanis are living with fake identities government has failed to take any action against them during the last 35 years.

“Worst fears have been realized by intelligence agencies that TTP, Lashkar-i-Jhangvi and Al-Qaeeda have forged a new unity and forming an increasingly well-coordinated web including Al Qaeda and outlawed terrorists groups within Islamabad”, commented intelligence sources with the condition of anonymity as they are not authorised to talk to media.

Interior Ministry of Pakistan has submitted a report to government of Pakistan indicting that Islamabad has become hub of terrorist outfits including Al-Qaeeda, Lashkar-i-Jhangvi and many more that are extreme forces of extremist groups. These outfits have sleeping circles in Islamabad. One of the most dangerous areas in Islamabad according to this reports are Peshawar More, G-9, G-10, I-9, I-10 and Afghan busti on IJP road.

It may be mentioned that Islamabad police on October 12, 2013 busted a project of al-Qaeda chapter in Pakistan that was planning to hit important bulding of Islamabad including Parliament house with small   drone. Police and intelligence agencies raided a house in Kashmir Housing Society in G-15 area and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition. The house belonged to Professor Irtyaz Gilani, a graduate in electronic engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) University who has also served in the Air Weapons Complex, Kamra. After leaving the job at Kamra, Irtyaz served as a lecturer at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, teaching electronics.
