ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 1,531 people fell prey to COVID-19 and 83 breathed their last in the last 24 hours across Pakistan, the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday morning showed.

The statistics showed that on May 14, 30,248 COVID tests were conducted across the Country, and 1,531 of them returned positive with a ratio of 5.06 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 83 deaths occurred across the Country including 40 in Punjab, 20 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 13 in Sindh, 5 in Balochistan, 3 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 2 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

Till date, the Country has recorded a total of 874,751 Coronavirus Cases. Of them, 324,589 Cases surfaced in Punjab, 297,078 in Sindh, 126,614 in KPK, 79,027 in Islamabad, 23,814 in Balochistan, 18,212 in AJK, and 5,417 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Whereas 19,467 people have so far died of the virus across the Country including 9,322 in Punjab, 4,793 in Sindh, 3,743 in KPK, 727 in ICT, 513 in AJK, 262 in Balochistan, and 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The NCOC’s statistics showed that 783,480 people have recovered so far from the disease across Pakistan while 71,804 are under treatment as of May 15.
