ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar has said that about 45,000 Corona Relief Tiger Force volunteers have been assigned tasks and they are performing various duties in assistance of the civil administration in different parts of the Country.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar has said that about 45,000 Corona Relief Tiger Force volunteers have been assigned tasks and they are performing various duties in assistance of the civil administration in different parts of the Country.  While holding meetings via video link with Sargodha Division Commissioner Dr. Farah Masood, Faisalabad Division Commissioner Ishrat Ali and Multan Division Commissioner Shan ul Haq on Wednesday, Usman Dar highlighted that there will be a phase-wise engagement of about 1,000,000 registered volunteers in view to utilize services of a maximum number of Corona Relief Tiger Force (CRTF).  Usman Dar said that so far 185,000 CRTF volunteers have been called for duties while about 45,000 have been assigned tasks.  The Special Assistant on Youth Affairs asked for enhanced coordination among various tiers of civil administration in view to maximize service delivery of volunteers.  While appreciating the spirit of volunteerism among CRTF, the Special Assistant said that their passion for community work during the COVID-19 pandemic is most appreciable.  The respective Deputy Commissioners of all districts falling in these Divisions shared updated status of duties assigned to volunteers of CRTF.  It was informed during these meetings that Steering Committees at Districts and Tehsils levels have been constituted in all districts of these Divisions.  The Deputy Commissioners apprised that volunteers have been called for assigning various duties in their respective districts.  It was informed that the majority of the volunteers in these districts are deputed at mosques for ensuring SOPs, registration of unemployed labor in Ehsas Kafalat program, visiting markets for checking prices, reporting hoarding, and reporting availability of subsided items on utility stores.  It was further informed that volunteers are assigned duties after proper orientation sessions by the concerned district administration.
