ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The number of COVID-19 infected persons in Pakistan has now climbed to 12,643 with 704 new Cases in the last 24 hours.

The death toll has also now reached 268 (2.1%) and the much satisfactory development is the recoveries of 2,759 patients with a ratio of 21.8%.

So far 138,147 persons have been tested for the Coronavirus, and out of them 79% were found to be positive after being locally infected whereas 21% had been infected abroad.

As per the data released by the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) on April 25, the number of COVID-19 patients in Punjab has surpassed 5,000 and now stands at 5,378.

In Punjab, 81 deaths have occurred and 1,065 people have been healed from the virus.

The Sindh province has 4,232 Cases, 78 deaths and 772 recoveries; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 1,793 Cases, 93 deaths, and 472 recoveries; and Balochistan has 656 Cases, 10 deaths, and 176 recoveries.

The Gilgit-Baltistan region has recorded 307 COVID-19 patients, of them 3 have died and 213 have recovered.

Likewise, 55 Cases have been detected in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and wherein 32 recoveries have been reported.

In Islamabad, the number of patients has surged to 223 whereas 3 deaths and 29 recoveries have been reported in the Federal Capital.
