ABU DHABI, UAE: The Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of his three-nation trip to the Middle East aimed at enhancing cooperation across different sectors including energy.

Upon his arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport, the Japanese prime minister and his accompanying delegation were received by the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.

Japan PM Fumio Kishida reaches UAE on official visit

Fumio Kishida kicked off his Middle East tour in Jeddah on July 16, where he reaffirmed close bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia.

The Japanese prime minister will spend a day in the UAE and then continue to Qatar on July 18.

The UAE is Japan’s seventh-largest trading partner globally and currently supplies up to 20 percent of the Asian Country’s oil needs.
