UAE is a growing tourist state for visitors from all around the world. People have been getting UAE visit visas and exploring the wide options of vacation spots for everyone. tourists normally visit UAE for 30 days or 60 days duration. However, this duration may be too less to explore all the spots in Dubai, UAE. So, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) have made amendments to allow UAE Visit Visa Extension for up to 30 days.

The Immigration and Citizenship Program (ICP) introduced several reforms in the visa procedures and this extension is a part of those reforms. The purpose of this decision is to promote tourism so that tourists can explore more of the country.  Visitors can extend their stay in UAE while staying within the premises of UAE for 30 days duration. The maximum extension limit for UAE Visit Visa Extension is a total of 120 days.

How to get UAE Visit Visa Extension?

The representative of Amer Center stated that the UAE Visit Visa extension is only possible from within the country. If the visitor fails to apply for an extension, they have to face the consequences in the form of a penalty fee. To apply for a Visa extension, one must contact the visa issuing agent.

The visa issuing agent or sponsor will provide you with all the necessary information regarding the UAE Visit visa extension. They give your briefing about documentation, fees, and other procedures. To apply for the extension, the applicants must apply before the expiration of the visa to have enough time for the application to process.

The process may take a few days to process. According to the ICP website, the minimum time required for an extension of a visa is 48 hours.

Maximum Extension

The extension is applicable for both short-term as well as long-term visas for as long as 120 days (30 days on each extension). The maximum period of stay should not exceed more than 120 days as it will result in the expiration of the visa and a penalty fee.

General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has mentioned the extension charges on its website. The charges, according to GDRFA are given below:

Visa extension fee: Dh 600 + 5% VAT

Additional fee (if sponsor or agent is inside the country):

Knowledge dirham: Dh10

Innovation dirham: Dh10

Fee inside the country: Dh500p

This is the estimated amount of UAE Visit Visa extension charges by DGRFA. However, the actual fee may vary according to the circumstances.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
