Muslims across the Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Gulf Countries are celebrating Eid Al Adha on Wednesday with religious zeal and fervor.
In the UAE, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan performed the Eid Al Adha prayer alongside worshippers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
Following the prayer, the UAE president exchanged greetings with worshippers on the occasion.
Earlier on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent cables of congratulations to the leaders of Islamic Countries on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

Meanwhile, in a message, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif extended greetings to Muslims in general and Overseas Pakistanis in particular who are celebrating Eid-Ul-Azha or Eid Al Adha today.
“May Allah bless their lives with peace & prosperity! Ameen”, the prime minister wrote.
The prime minister said that Eid-Ul-Azha symbolises the spirit of sacrifice, equality and compassion.
Shahbaz sharif said that it fosters unity by reducing socio-economic inequalities and creates the feelings of empathy and complete surrender before Allah Almighty. He said that a true observance of the ritual demands of us to adopt a life of piety and cleanliness.
In Pakistan, Eid-Ul-Azha will be celebrated on tomorrow (Thursday) to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismael (AS).
The Day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for well-being of Ummah and progress, prosperity and security of the Country.
Eid prayers’ congregations will be held at mosques, Eidgahs and open places in all cities, towns and villages.
Ulema, in their Eid Sermons, will highlight the significance of the philosophy of great sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS).
The people will offer sacrifice of animals to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
