Two more convicts executed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Two more death row convicts were hanged to death across Pakistan on Wednesday morning as the country continues to carry out executions despite worldwide opposition.

The condemned prisoner Zulfiqar was executed at the Central Jail in Faisalabad because he had killed a taxi drive in 2000.

Separately, another convict Muhammad Musa was hanged till death in Balochistan’s Machh Jail for murdering a person in Quetta in 2005.

The international organizations including the United Nations, the European Union, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have demanded an end to executions in Pakistan which Islamabad began after a deadly terror attack at the army-run school in Peshawar City on December 16, 2014.
