Two cops killed in Peshawar bomb blast

PESHAWAR: Two policemen were killed while four other people sustained injuries when a bomb planted in a rickshaw went off on the Ring Road near Garhi Qamardin on Tuesday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 20 March, 2012.

Police officials said the blast planted near the overhead bridge in Garhi Qamardin targeted a police patrol vehicle.

Bomb disposal officials said the bomb weighed up to 12 kilograms (26 pounds) and was rigged in a rickshaw which was detonated remotely when police patrol passed by.
