Turkey, Afghanistan to sign bilateral strategic cooperation deal

KABUL, Afghanistan: Turkey and Afghanistan will sign a bilateral strategic cooperation agreement as the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his visit to Kabul on Saturday.

   

It is the first visit of the Turkish president to Afghanistan following the formation of the national unity government in the war-torn country.

During his visit, the Turkish president will hold talks with his Afghan counterpart Dr Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and other high level government officials.

Erdogan is also expected to inaugurate a road in western Kabul which has been constructed with the financial support of Turkey.
