The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced several traffic fine discount schemes over the past few years with the goal of easing the load on drivers who are facing fines for many different kinds of violations. Here are the main traffic fine discount schemes announced in the UAE:

How to check Dubai traffic fines

  1. 50% discount on traffic fines applies to fines issued before December 22, 2019, that have not been paid yet. Motorists can take advantage of this discount until June 22, 2023.
  2. 30% discount on impound release fees: If your car has been impounded for any reason, you can avail of a 30% discount on the release fees. This discount is valid until December 31, 2022.
  3. 50% discount on traffic fines for drivers of electric vehicles: In an effort to promote the use of electric vehicles, the UAE government is offering a 50% discount on traffic fines for drivers of electric vehicles. This discount is valid until December 31, 2022.
  4. 25% discount on Dubai traffic fines: Dubai Police is offering a 25% discount on all traffic fines issued in the emirate of Dubai. This discount is valid until June 30, 2022.
  5. 35% discount on Sharjah traffic fines: The Sharjah Police has announced a 35% discount on all traffic fines issued in the emirate of Sharjah. This discount is valid until December 31, 2022.

It’s important to note that these discounts only apply to fines and penalties that have not been paid yet. Motorists who have already paid their fines are not eligible for these discounts. Additionally, motorists who commit new traffic violations will not be eligible for these discounts.
