TABRIZ, Iran: The Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor has said that it is very important for the time that the Muslim Ummah may set aside all differences and make a way to develop along with tourism as well as cooperate with all other areas of life.
Talking to Deputy Minister of Afghanistan Professor Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, the Governor of eastern Azerbaijan Dr Khuda Bukhsh and the Tourism Chief of Iraq on the fourth day of Iran’s visit, the managing director PTDC said that for the promotion and development of tourism, the Government of Pakistan is providing visa-on-arrival facilities for group tourists. In order to be compatible with the needs of the new world, unity in Muslim countries is essential. Tourism and cultural exchange programs should be started to enable skilled workers and professionals in relevant fields.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor further said that in Muslim Countries, especially in Iran and Iraq, there is a great tenderness for tourism, but in there are also numerous spots other than religious tourism that should be shared jointly. This will convey the message in the world that these countries are a great for tourism purpose. Iraqi Tourism Chief said that every year millions of visitors come to Iraq generating foreign exchange for national exchequer by providing appropriate facilities.
The Iraqi Tourism Chief also invited the managing director PTDC to visit Iraq.
Later that day, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor met Tabriz’s Mayor Iradj Shahin Baher in which the MD said that historical places of the city of Tabriz, gardens and tourist places are very popular in Pakistan. The joint venture for increasing the activities tourists is likely to increase tourist dishes throughout the region. Tourist places in Pakistan, diverse seasons and intriguing views can be a tourist of all the world’s tourist attractions. Infrastructure Development is urgent to invest.
The Mayor of Tabriz said that tourism projects on long border and coastal strip between Pakistan and Iran could bring tourism revolution in both Countries. Investor’s delegation will visit Pakistan shortly on investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor also invited the Mayor of Tabriz r to visit Pakistan.
