ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is going to launch its Tourism Channel in 2018 in order to promote tourism and create awareness about tourism potential of Pakistan at national and international levels.
Talking to the state-run news agency on Thursday, the PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor said the Channel was in pipeline and it would be launched soon as it was included in 2018’s projects.
The PTDC managing director said tourism channel would showcase beauty of Pakistan through documentaries on nature, culture, history, archaeology and tourist attraction destinations in the Country.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana inaugurated PTDC’s Islamabad City Tour Bus Service at a local hotel in Rawalpindi.
Abdul Ghafoor also said the PTDC was going to organize a three-day International Conference on Tourism in the first week of March 2018 in the Federal Capital under the auspices of World Tourism Organization (WTO), and hoped that it would be attended by its all members.
The managing director further said the quality of PTDC services had been improved besides tourist publications and infrastructure development as well as inviting private sector to invest in the sector. He said tourism degree programs were being introduced in different universities.
