RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has decided to launch its own channel on the sequel of Discovery Channel to enhance scope of tourism scope and depict the unique l image to the world about diverse cultural heritage and civilization in the country.
While addressing the National Tourism Strategy Roundtable Meeting at Flashman’s Hotel in Rawalpindi, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan said tourism had been neglected since long and the Country had no tourism slogan like other Countries.
The managing director PTDC said the corporation would launch a TV channel aimed at highlighting various historical sites, tourist places, cultural heritage, and civilizations in the Country.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said there had been no such forum before to present all tourist spots which would attract world tourists to explore our culture.
The managing director said there was a lot more to do to promote tourism and infrastructure development in the Country. He said tourism was essential for their society, culture and ecosystem.
