ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor has said that the PTDC will introduce new areas and technology based facilities for tourists to make their journey memorable.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said this in a meeting with the Chief Executive of Shuja Royal Limo Services Hafiz Nawaz Shuja.

Later talking to the state-run news agency, he said it is the basic objective of PTDC to provide world class facilities to the tourists to make their journey to Pakistan memorable.

The managing director PTDC said that the PTDC IT Department will develop an interactive dynamic with latest technology website and also assist operations of new buses for Islamabad City Tour Bus Service. He said that by promoting health, cultural, agriculture and aviation tourism country economy would be strengthened besides promoting soft tourist friendly image of the country the world over.

“In the rest of the world, Tourism sector works under federation therefore, we are also making efforts to form an organization for tourism promotion as well as retaining PTDC on federal level,” he said.

Chaudhry Ghafoor said that Limo Service for tourists is a unique feature introduced by Shuja Motors, which also actively working for promotion and development of tourism. He said that the PTDC is offering a number of tourism projects spread all over the country for joint venture with public and private partnership.

The MD PTDC said that the present government under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is ready to provide maximum assistance to achieve tourism development in the country.

The Chief Executive of Shuja Royal Limo Services expressed the resolve to increase flow of tourists and for the purpose, public and private sectors must join hands together. He assured sponsorship of PTDC’s publications and installation of LCD TVs in all operational PTDC Motels.

The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
