ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism and Development Corporation (PTDC) is planning to install Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs) at various Railway Stations including Rawalpindi for showing documentaries on tourism.

It was stated by the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor while talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad on Thursday.

The managing director PTD said that the Corporation has asked Railways authorities to provide suitable places for installation of LCDs at Railway Stations to showcase the potential of tourism in Pakistan.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the PTDC has established Tourism Information Desks (TIDs) at various airports including Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad. He said that the Corporation has also asked the Civil Aviation to provide suitable places at all airports to set up TIDs.

The MD PTDC said that the Corporation has always tried to uplift tourism sector in Pakistan so that citizens could benefit from potential tourism opportunities in the Country. He said that they can witness the natural beauty motherland with ease and comfort on affordable rates.

The managing direct said that the PTDC has taken various steps for promotion of tourism as recently PTDC launched its mega project City Tour Buses in Twin Cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Moreover, he said that the PTDC is encouraging the local and foreign investors to come forward and invest in the sector.
