ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has decided to construct two new motels in the Federal Capital to facilitate tourists.
One motel would be constructed near Shakarparian and other near a local hotel.
Talking to the state-run news agency, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the corporation declared 2018 a tourism year and all ongoing projects would be completed soon.
“I have declared 2018 a tourism year and all tasks would be completed with devotion and determination,” he said.
Abdul Ghafoor said that PTDC would also construct new tourist resorts in the Capital to attract tourists and renovate and improve existing resorts to facilitate them according to the international standards.
The managing director said that PTDC would construct a motel near Shakarparian on 30 Kanal land. PTDC would also renovate its motel at Daman-e-Koh, he added.
PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that PTDC would take different initiatives to promote tourism and to make organization financially viable entity.
“We have contacted manufacturers of prefabricated structure to increase the number of rooms in existing PTDC motels, he added.
The managing director PTDC said that IT department was developing an Online Reservation System for all PTDC Motels where tourists would easily book their rooms online.
