ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has planned to construct a motel with modern facilities for the tourists at Naltar, Gilgit.
Talking to the state-run news agency, Managing Director PTDC Abdul Ghafoor Khan on Friday said that on the request of PTDC, the Chief Minister, Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman has allotted a piece of land measuring 30 kanals at Naltar for construction of a Motel by PTDC with modern facilities near the PAF Skiing Slopes which is an ideal location.
PTDC has appreciated the interest shown by the Gilgit Baltistan Government for the promotion of tourism in the area.
Expressing his views, he also stated that Gilgit Baltistan Government has a vibrant plan to install and operate a chairlift and provide other facilities at Naltar.
The purpose is to ensure entertainment and amusement facilities to the general public and visiting guests, he said. Gilgit Baltistan presents safe, secure and peaceful atmosphere to the visiting foreign and local tourists, he added.
Managing Director, PTDC, Abdul Ghafoor Khan, who paid visit to Gilgit-Baltistan has also visited the site for proposed Motel at Naltar Valley accompanying member of PTDC Board of Directors Irfanullah Baig.
The Managing Director, PTDC has expressed the hope that such steps will definitely bring about prosperity in the areas coincide with the gigantic project of CPEC which will totally change the fate of this region.
In order to facilitate the tourists, PTDC and Gilgit Baltistan Government will join hands and have close cooperation with PTDC to ensure provision of modern facilities to the visiting tourists.
