ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to mark the World Tourism Day in a befitting manner, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is organizing “Tourism Day Gala” at F-9 Park in Islamabad today (Friday).

The “Tourism Day Gala” which includes Family Walk, Cycling Rally and other fun-filled activities is being held in collaboration with Islamabad Cycling Association, Islamabad – Run With Us, Aero Cycling and The Adventure Club-Pakistan.

The Family Walk will start from F-10 Markaz gate of the park and will move towards gate of G-9. After entering the G-9 Gate, the walkers will reach back to Baradari, the end point.

The Cycle Rally will start from Baradari and exit the park from F-10 Markaz gate and take a left turn. The cyclists will complete full round of F-9 Park and will re-enter the park from F-10 Markaz gate of the park and finish at Baradari.

The Rock Climbing activity will be held at Jasmine Corner near Dam-e-Koh. The participants after completing the activity will reach F-9 Park to attend the price distribution ceremony.

The price distribution ceremony will be held at Baradari which will have sound system, stage and a chief guest.

Around 300 T-shirts and certificates will be distributed among participants. There will also be refreshments for the walkers, climbers, runners and cyclists.

On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
