BANGKOK, Thailand: The Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan reached Bangkok on three-day visit where he met heads of different multinational companies and Thai tourism authorities.

The Managing Director was accompanied by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand Suchart Liengsaengthong. The PTDC MD and the delegation were welcomed by Pakistan’s Embassy personnel and Thailand Tourism Officials.Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor in Thailand

Talking to Pakistani media over telephone, Chaudhry Ghafoor said that he is visiting Thailand on instructions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with the aim to attract more foreign tourist from Thailand as well as spreading the message of restoration of peace in Pakistan.

The PTDC managing director said that Pakistan has been endowed by nature with unique and open of investors to invest in this God gifted heaven on earth. He expressed hope that the return of investment will be remarkable and help Pakistan in achieving its development goals.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor met Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) delegation headed by Executive Director ASEAN South Asia and South Pacific Region Department Dr. Walailak Noypayal, who assured that information on tourism potential and investment opportunities will be disseminated among potential investors of Thailand.

During his visit, Chaudhry Ghafoor also met high officials of Thailand’s renowned investment group King Power which was headed by Executive Vice President–Group Marketing Vithaya Sintharapantorn, and recommended them to invest in tourism sector of Pakistan.

The PTDC MD briefed the audience in the presentation that population of Pakistan is over 200 million where the government has devised many positive incentive for investors.

The managing director told that this year the government has chalked out a special plan through which, foreign investors can reap a tremendous benefit. He said that this will also help bringing people of both the countries closer.
