ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In order to educate tourists to keep Naran Kaghan clean and free from pollution, the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) will launch a cleanliness awareness campaign in the valley very soon.
“Working on cleanliness environment would soon initiate a campaign to ensure cleanliness at picnic points in Naran Kaghan by launching its activities in the area,” the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor PTDC told the state-run news agency in Islamabad.
“We would initiate the campaign to clean the tourist spots in Naran Kaghan and which would attract a large number of tourists,” he said.
The managing director PTDC said that in the campaign the volunteers would collect wrappers, shopping bags, beverage bottles, disposable crockery and other items which was a big cause of pollution around the beautiful valley of Naran.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the volunteers would also educated the tourists present there to avoid throwing such items into the water or on the lakeside.
Ghafoor said that PTDC would continue its activities to make picnic spots and destinations free of pollution on self-help basis. He said that PTDC would place sign boards to make visitors ensure about the cleanliness instructions.
If any visitors violate the instruction he or she would pay heavy fines on breaking the instructions to keep city clean, he added.
