Li Zang Hing and Ming Leassi who were abducted on May 24, 2017 were not covered by security networking of Quetta Police because they did not properly registered themselves with authorities for teaching assignment in Jinnah Town Quetta, claim sources. Meanwhile, an official statement was released after the meeting of Interior Minister Ch Nisar with law enforcing agencies viewing the case of abduction of Chinese citizens.

Statement says that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has directed the ministry to review, regulate and streamline the process of issuing visas to Chinese nationals in future.

Interior Minister Chaudhry directed officials of Interior Ministry to maintain a databank of Chinese nationals arriving and staying in Pakistan with addresses where they are and would stay and information about persons/organisations who invite them and also for what reason Chinese citizens are being invited if they come on business or working visas.
