Tourism'Naran Valley' ready to welcome tourists in summer

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: With the arrival of summer season, the tourist spot of ‘Naran’ in the Kaghan Valley is ready to welcome tourists as the people from across the Country are making way to the picturesque areas of Naran to beat the heat.

The route leading to the heavenly tourist spot had been closed for traffic owing to snow which had blocked roads for several months. But with the ice melting away and roads clearing, excited tourists are now once again making their way to heavenly beauty.

With tourists thronging to Naran, life has sprung back once again in hotels which are now being seen welcoming people from across the Country with delicious warm meals.

Hotels and restaurants along with other businesses have also opened due to these tourist activities, and people in large numbers have already started reaching Naran to escape from scorching summer.

Visitors said that Naran offered sites of natural beauty like no other adding that locals should make their way to local tourist spots to contribute towards promoting tourism.

While tourists were seen making the most of their visit to Naran, roads leading to Lake Saif ul Muluk, Babusar Top and Lulusar Lake remain closed due to snow and are expected to open in the next few months.

Muhammad Ashraf, a shopkeeper in a valley, said that due to rush of tourists their business doubled in existing season, adding that all the business community is happy over the rush of people in hill stations.

The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) official said that a large number of tourists, especially domestic tourists, are booking their hotels, motels and rest houses in Naran and Kaghan Valley.

The PTDC official said that tourists should confirm the air tickets on time if they are traveling by air and they should respect the culture and tradition of the particular area.

“The overwhelming majority of people visiting are from within the Country but there are foreigners too,” he added.

A majority of tourists are Pakistanis because people are seeking refuge from the scorching heat in plain areas in the cool atmosphere of the mountains.

A tourist Danish Javed from Sialkot visiting Naran with his family said that this year traffic in the hill stations had been properly managed and that he did not face any difficulty in reaching the hill station.

This trip made me realize that Pakistan holds endless amounts of natural beauty, no less than any European vacation, he added.
