ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Approximately 0.6 million tourists have thronged Murree so far as the beautiful place has attracted a large number of tourists from across the Country to enjoy winter season with their family and friends.

Talking to media, the Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Abdul Ghafoor said that for the residents of the twin cities Rawalpindi-Islamabad, Murree has becomes favourite place especially on weekends.

The managing director PTDC said that tourists resorts including Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia remain packed with visitors these days. He said that hundreds of people enjoy the chairlift at Pindi Point to look beautiful views from the top.

Ghafoor said that these days all restaurants are packed with tourists as businessmen and shopkeepers from hill resorts are happy to see increased business activity.

“I am enjoying the weather here,” said a visitor Faisal Ahmed, “We are spending good time with family and the children are especially happy”, he said.

“Murree has enjoyable entertainment facilities, he lauded the civic body for construction of numerous attractive picnic spots, another visitor Munir Ahmed said.

Munir said that the local administration should develop more recreational facilities to attract visitors.
