Lviv, Ukraine: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated easy visa regime for promoting medical tourism in Ukraine as his country is becoming a promising destination for Medical Tourism, reports DND News Agency.
Only in year 2018, around 60,000 foreign patients (medical tourists) arrived to Ukraine with the purpose treatments, giving an earning of over $150 million to Ukraine.
According to figures provided by the president of the Ukrainian Association of Medical Tourism Violetta Yanyshevska, interest for getting medical treatment in Ukraine is increasing and it has become a popular product of Ukraine.
According to State run news agency Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky while addressing a meeting in town of Truskavets, Lviv region said that Ukraine can (could) make a list of countries whose citizens usually come to Ukraine for medical treatment in order to abolish visas for them.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Markiyan Malsky informed President that seven medical resorts are offered by Lviv region providing medical services including plastic surgery, dentistry, rehabilitation treatment, ophthalmology and reproductive health.
Economy of Ukraine is back on track under news President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian currency is getting stronger and foreign investors are looking towards to Ukraine for investing in tourism industry as Ukraine offers everything to tourists as other European countries offer like Switzerland, Hungary, Italy and Austria.
