ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: More foreign tourists have visited Pakistan in recent years as compared to previous ones following an improvement in the Country’s law and order situation.
While talking to the State-run news agency in Islamabad, the Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the foreign tourists ratio increased in current years as compared to previous years after law and order situation improved in the Country.
The managing director PTDC also said that Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation PTDC has published a magazine titled “Amazing Pakistan” to promote tourism activities in the Country.
Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said the magazine was published to apprise the diplomatic Missions, Tour Operators Association, Provincial Tourism Departments, Airlines and other stakeholders of PTDC’s initiatives taken for promotion of tourism.
The MD PTDC expressed hope that the magazine would be provided to all the missions and book outlets to create awareness about the tourism sites and facilitate the tourists with tourism information.
The PTDC was incorporated in March 1970 and governed by its Board of Directors. Its principal objective is to promote and develop tourism in Pakistan. The Corporation provides transportation to various areas and owns and runs several motels across the Country.
