ISLAMABAD: The local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh have been deferred as both the provinces have sought four months to complete necessary pre-election arrangements for holding LB polls, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said.
The ECP Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed told a press conference that the schedule prepared by the ECP for holding LB elections in Punjab and Sindh has been deferred as both the provinces did not notify the relevant LB laws and completed delimitation yet.
