The three-day Bagh Aman Mela has kicked off in Tirah Valley in Khyber District, the area which was once plagued with terrorism but now has returned to normalcy due to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army.

In this regard, the Opening Ceremony of Bagh Aman Mela was held on May 23, 2022 which was attended by people from all walks of life.

   

The Frontier Corps North and District Administration have jointly organized the event in Tirah District.

The highlight of the Opening Ceremony was the demonstration of power gliding and paragliding by men from Army School of Physical Training, Abbottabad who received big applause from the spectators.

The activities during the Mela included the presentation of tableaus by students, display of motorcycle riding skills by personnel from the Military Police, band display, Khattak dance and other regional dances.

Bagh Aman Mela will continue till May 25, 2022 and will feature competitions in different sports including cricket, volleyball, equestrian, tug-of-war, and other local games.

It’s worth mentioning that many development projects for the locals of the area are also in progress.

In addition, different events are being organized in Tirah which is a testimony of the complete restoration of peace.
