Lahore, Pakistan: Police Inspector Saifullah Khan Niazi was posted as the in-charge of Babu Sabu check post in Lahore who was allegedly shot dead by the workshop owner over a parking dispute in the Sherakot area on Tuesday, 21.01.2025.
The accused who surrendered to police Adeel claimed that the deceased used to abuse him daily as his workshop was adjacent to the deceased’s residence. While FIR registered by the deceased’s son claimed that the accused used to run a motor workshop near Inspector Niazi’s residence and used to park vehicles outside the workshop, causing problems for the residents of the area. Inspector Niazi had advised him to park the vehicles inside his workshop therefore Adeel had harbored a grudge against his father and killed him. However, the accused told the police that the police inspector had humiliated him several times (allegedly the police inspector had called the accused his mother and sister) which led him to take extreme measures.
According to the details, Inspector Malik Saifullah Khan Niazi had an argument with a shopkeeper, a motorcycle mechanic, in the Nawan Kot area of Shera Kot police station. Malik Saifullah Khan Niazi was shot dead on the spot during the argument.
The short story is that a video statement of the killer says that the deceased used to come to my shop and tease me without any reason, abuse me, and used to sing songs of debauchery. The accused while giving his statement to police said “If you have any position in the world, it is because of Allah. Allah can take it back whenever he wants. You should respect other people. Respect Allah’s distribution of positions and avoid reducing the dignity of other people in the name of authority”.
“Even if you cannot respect someone, then please do not insult them. It is a very painful thing that if someone abuses a person who earns a living, works as a laborer, or belongs to any field, it is an act of pain”, the accused added.
