Design trio Kamiar Rokni, Tia Noon and Rehan Bashir of the coveted House of Kamiar Rokni are set to showcase their much anticipated bridal collection at the 5th prestigious PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week. Titled ‘Alchemy’, the collection stays true to The House of Kamiar Rokni’s love for craft and draws on a diversity of craft techniques, melding together different elements from around the world to create pieces of art, where each outfit tells its own story.

Alchemy draws from traditional, regional and global embellishments and silhouettes bringing them together to form a bridal signature from The House of Kamiar Rokni. To this end,  expect cuts that vary in length, volume and diversity, in fabrics created from regionally indigenous textiles including a selection of hand-woven silks, organzas, jamavars, chiffons and nets, each of which have been selected to complement otherwise bold forms. Alchemy will present short shirts, peshwas’ and jackets to ball gown skirts and farshi ghararas, moving into cropped, skinny, cutwork and flared pants. Based in a myriad of colours, Alchemy celebrates the belief that there should be no one bridal ‘look’ per say and instead advocates a diversity of silhouettes, all of which come together to reinvent the classic bride and her trousseau for the modern era.

Complementing the collection is a range of exquisite jewellery pieces created by Rehana and Shakil Saigol and their heritage brand Private Collection. Indeed Private Collection is renowned for their one of a kind bespoke jewelry where each piece is meticulously hand crafted by artisans whose lineage spans across three generations of working with Rehana and Shakil Saigol.

Speaking about their collection, and on the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week platform, designers Kamiar Rokni, Tia Noon and Rehan Bashir said It is always exciting to be presenting at the PFDC L’Oréal Paris bridal week as it is quite easily the best platform for presenting bridal couture – it is a privilege to be in the company of such a stellar line up of designers for #PLBW2015 and we are particularly delighted to be collaborating with Rehana and Shakil Saigol for their beautiful jewellery. In terms of our collection, the House of Kamiar Rokni has always incorporated art, different cultures and our imagination to create unique collections that embrace the individual. We emphasise an imaginative use of craft, colour and textile to form wearable art, presenting it in a modern way to create heirlooms for the future.”

The 3 pillars of the House of Kamiar Rokni; Kamiar Rokni, Tia Noon and Rehan Bashir are the powerhouses behind the premier designer label. They hail from quintessentially aristocratic families that are symbolic of an old world charm and traditional heritage. The trio’s diverse backgrounds shines through the label’s clothing representing a seamless amalgamation of a combined history and cultural diversity that the three have inherited. The brand strives to provide an immaculate essence of style in all their creations, designing signature one of a kind pieces that evoke a sense of individuality and elegance in the people that wear them. The Houses’ core philosophy is to embrace art, culture and imagination in their fashion.
