DND Report: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif telephoned several global leaders during Eid al-Adha and expressed his Eid greetings with them. His focus had been the Middle East, the Caucasian region, and Southeast Asia.
He held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, and conveyed his heartfelt Eid greetings to the President, his family, as well as to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of Egypt, to exchange Eid-ul-Adha greetings. During the warm and cordial telephone call, the Prime Minister conveyed Eid wishes to the leadership, government, and the people of Egypt. He expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt’s constructive role and its efforts for peace during the recent Pakistan-India crisis. The situation in the Middle East was also discussed.
PM Shehbaz Sharif exchanged Eid ul Adha greetings with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait. During their warm and cordial telephone call, the Prime Minister conveyed warm felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, as well as to the brotherly people of Kuwait.
He also called King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. The Prime Minister fondly recalled his telephone conversation with King Abdullah II on Eid ul Fitr two months ago, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further enhance its bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Jordan.
PM Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and extended his warm Eid greetings and best wishes to the leadership as well as the people of Bahrain. During their cordial conversation, the two leaders prayed for peace and unity among the ranks of the Ummah and offered special prayers for the people of Gaza. The Prime Minister thanked Bahrain for its balanced position during the recent Pakistan-India crisis and its call for restraint, de-escalation, and peace in South Asia.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Prime Minister extended warm Eid greetings to the Iranian President as well as to the brotherly people of Iran on the joyous occasion. He also conveyed his respectful regards and good wishes to His Eminence, Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkiye, today to convey warm greetings and best wishes to him, as well as to the brotherly people of Turkiye, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul Adha. While recalling their recent meetings in Istanbul and Lachin, the Prime Minister thanked President Erdogan once again for Turkiye’s strong and unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent Pakistan-India crisis. This gesture had won the hearts of the people of Pakistan and added another glorious chapter to the history of Pakistan-Turkiye brotherhood.
