Nabi Pak Muhammad (peace be upon him) was full of praise for females and used to say: “The world and all things in the world are precious but the most precious thing in the world is a virtuous woman. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a special place in his heart for her daughter Fatima (RA). Once he said “Fatima is a part of me. Whatever pleases her, pleases me, and whatever angers her, angers me” (Bukhari &Muslim)
It is also a proven fact that Nabi Pak stood up when his daughter Fatima came to meet him. Does our society give such respect to females? It used to give that special status to females till this society was not polluted with radicalized thoughts.
It is also a proven fact that fathers and daughters have a remarkable impact on each other’s lives and I as a daughter understand that their bond is one of the most beautiful and strong on earth. Islam teaches that as daughters grow, fathers have to provide them with guidance, empower them in their decisions, and support them through hardship while in turn, fathers learn how to be patient, gentle, and loving.
COAS’s expressions represent the thoughts of every woman in this society who has been harassed by lunatics who have been trying to impose their view of Islam that has nothing to do anything with Islam
I thoroughly listened to the address of COAS Gen Asim Munir to students where a large number of female students were standing and listening to him with full attention. He talked so well and so honestly that it needs a further piece of thought to share with you but as a girl the part that most impressed me was the clear thoughts he shared with students about the status of women (females) in an Islamic society. Being a Hafiz of the Quran, his every word was cited through the Qur’anic teachings he had been citing through the Quran.
His expressions represent the thoughts of every woman in this society who had been harassed by lunatics who had been trying to impose their view of Islam that has nothing to do anything with Islam.

COAS Gen Asim Munir rightly said:
“We, the Pak Army, are fighting with the rebels. We are fighting. Those who you think are doing Jihad, are foreigners. They have left the religion. Because they have their own perverted interpretation of Islam, which is not allowed in Islam. And the commandments of Allah about them are that “they (Khwarjis) create disorder on the earth. What is their punishment? They are killed. Kill them. Hang them on a cross. Or cut their hands and feet from different angles. Or cut them from their land. This is a punishment for them in this world. And in the hereafter, they will be given a big punishment. Those who want to escape this, Allah has given them only one chance before you catch them. Before they surrender to you. Then they should know that Allah is Most Forgiving and Merciful. Surrender to the state. Then they can expect mercy from the state. We don’t agree with their interpretation of the religion”.
COAS mentioned that Islam is the first religion in the world that has respected women. Whether she is a mother, a wife, or a sister, your religion has given maximum respect to women in any role.
“Who are you (Khwarjis) to take it away today? Who are you? Who has given you this authority? Nobody can take it away. We will never ever allow this kind of perverted group to impose its values onto our country”, he commented.
As a girl, I request COAS Gen Asim Munir to play his role (that he can do) to ask the government to introduce a governance system in which a girl can go to school, college, university, and workplace without the fear of being harassed, subjugated and harmed. As a student of Mass Communication, I know that our laws always support the oppressor and criminals instead of the victims and if the victim is a female then there is not even a five percent chance that she would get justice.
