RAWALPINDI: At least 47 more militants were killed in the ongoing military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ in North Waziristan and Khyber agencies on Tuesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR said that 27 militants were killed and their 11 hideouts were destroyed in jet aircraft strikes in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan agency.

A large cache of arms was also destroyed in the attack.

Earlier in the morning, at least 20 militants were killed when jet fighters pounded 12 militant hideouts in Khyber agency.

Meanwhile, the registration of 454,207 of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been completed at Saidgai point.

The ISPR said that six distribution centers, three at Bannu, two at Dera Ismail Khan and one at Tank, have been established for distribution of relief goods among IDPs.

The army has established 32 centers throughout the country for collecting relief goods for IDPs.
