UNITED NATIONS: A UN expert on human rights has termed the US drone attacks inside Pakistan as a violation of country’s sovereignty.

In his interim report to the United Nations General Assembly‚ UN special rapporteur on human rights and counterterrorism Ben Emmerson said at least 330 drone strikes have been recorded in FATA since 2004.

Ben Emmerson said that Foreign Office told him that some 2,200 people including 400 civilians were killed by the US drone strikes.

The UN expert called on the United States to reveal the number of civilians killed by drone strikes particularly in Pakistan and Yemen.
