Upper Dir attack kills ASI

DIR: A police officer was killed and another cop sustained injuries when gunmen attacked a police patrolling van in Wari area of Upper Dir district late Saturday night, told Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 30 September, 2012.

An assistant sub-inspector Aminur Rahman was leading a police party on a routine patrol when he came under fire from unidentified assailants near Suray Pul. Aminur Rahman was killed on the spot while another policeman Ziauddin sustained injuries, District Police Officer Ihsanullah Khan told Dispatch News Desk (DND).
