Unknown miscreants blow up two gas pipelines in Balochistan's Dera Bugti

QUETTA: Unidentified miscreants blew up two gas pipelines of eight inches in Pirkoh area of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district on Wednesday, a levies official said.

“Unknown men had placed explosive materials with the two gas pipelines of eight inches in the Pirkoh area of Dera Bugti and then detonated them,” media quoted a levies official as saying.

The official said that as a result of the blast, gas supply to the plant was suspended.

On Sunday, a portion of the 16 inch-diameter pipeline in Pirkoh gas field was blown up as an explosive device planted under the pipeline by unknown miscreants went off. Subsequently, the gas supply from wells no 5 and 21 to Pirkoh gas purification plant was suspended.
