Unknown assailants kill peace committee leader in Tank

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Unknown assailants shot dead a leader of peace committee in Tank district of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday.

Talking to media representatives, the Gomal police Station House Officer (SHO) Alamgir said that the peace committee leader Sherpao Mehsood was on his way from Kot Azam to Tank when unknown attackers ambushed his vehicle.

Subsequently, the peace committee leader lost his life while two of his associates also sustained injuries in the attack.

The dead body and the injured persons were immediately shifted to the District Hospital Tank.
