PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Two persons were killed and five others injured in a grenade attack occurred in Barra area of Khyber agency, according to the political administration.

The political admiration said on Saturday that unknown militants hurled grenade in house of former assistant political agent Mawaz Khan Afridi late Friday night which resulted in deaths of two persons.

It said that five more people including former assistant political agent were also injured in the explosion.

The injured were rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar for emergency treatment while a combing through operation has been started by security forces in the area.
