PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The outlawed terror group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed to have killed a tribal elder in a roadside bomb blast in Bajaur, a tribal region in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Earlier in the morning, a pro-government tribal elder Malik Rahim was going to the local market when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along the roadside exploded in Chamarkand area of Bajaur agency.
Resultantly, the tribal region lost his life due to the explosion.
Meanwhile in a statement issue by the TTP’s spokesman Khalid Khurasani, the insurgent group claimed the responsibility for the killing the tribal elder.
Earlier on Saturday, two tribal elders Malik Gul Kareem Khan and Malik Dawa Khan were killed in Uthmankhel tehsil of Bajaur agency when a remote-controlled IED went off.
Their casualties occurred while they travelling to the Khar area in their vehicle but it was hit by the explosive device.
