Three policemen shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI, Pakistan: Three policeman were killed while another sustained injuries in a targeted attack on a police mobile van in Bhangoria Goth area of Karachi on Wednesday morning.

The sources said that the attack was carried out by unknown assailants when they opened fire on the police mobile van.

They said that thee policemen who were killed in the attack included a sub-inspector and two constables.

Soon after the attack, the law enforcement agencies reached the site and cordoned off the area. Meanwhile, an investigation into the incident and a search operation was launched.

On the other hand, the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took strict notice of the incident and directed the authorities concerned to submit an inquiry report within two days.

In a separate incident, four persons were injured when a hand grenade was thrown by terrorists in Rangiwara area in Karachi.
