Three ASWJ activists killed as unknown gunmen targets party’s leader in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Unknown gunmen killed three persons belonging to the Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) and injured two others in Sargodha on Saturday morning.

Police said that unknown assailants opened fire on a vehicle carrying deputy chief of ASWJ’s Punjab chapter Maulana Abdul Hameed Khalid and his five associates near the Noori Gate in Sargodha as they were on their way from Bhakkar to attend the hearing in an anti-terrorism court in Sargodha, causing critical injuries to all the six persons.

The injured were rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital, but three of them succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.
