ISLAMABAD: A Taliban commander has said that three al Qaeda militants were killed in a US-led drone strike that was carried out in Pakistan this week.

At least seven persons were killed and three others injured by a US drone strike in the Shawal area of North Waziristan Agency on Sunday, Intelligence officials said.

Those killed in the strike included three al Qaeda training experts who had crossed the border from Afghanistan to look at ways of setting up a similar camp on Pakistani territory, the Taliban commander said.
