DUSHANBE: At least 10 persons were detained in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, on suspicion of planning to carry out a string of terror attacks across the country, an official of the Tajikistan interior ministry said.
The suspects – Tajik nationals – are believed to have received training in Pakistan’s Waziristan region and were preparing a series of blasts on government facilities in four districts of Dushanbe during the presidential elections scheduled on 6 November 2013, the official said.
