SUKKUR: Four persons embraced martyrdom as a group of four suicide bombers attacked a compound housing government offices including the office of a sensitive agency in Barrage colony in Sukkur.

Police said more than twenty-five persons were also injured in the incident.

According to police one of the bombers first dashed an explosive-laden vehicle against the gate of the office of a sensitive agency and perished.

Three attackers occupied a government office building which was partially damaged in the attack. Afterwards‚ two suicide attackers blew themselves up in the compound of the building.

Police said one of the suicide bombers has been arrested.

The injured have been shifted to Hira and Civil Hospitals.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the terror attack.

They have directed the authorities concerned to provide the best medical treatment to the injured.

Interior Minister‚ Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has sought report about the incident from IG Sindh.
