LAHORE: The Shia protesters continued to stage sit-in outside the Governor House in Lahore against the killing of Tehreek-i-Nifaz-i-Fiqh Jafaria (TNFJ) leader Allama Nasir Abbas Multani.

His killing triggered a strong protest as a large number of his followers protested outside Shaikh Zayed Hospital where cleric’s body had been shifted and later they marched towards the Governor House and staged sit-in.
The Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) condemned the killing of Shia cleric and announced three days of mourning.
The sources said on Monday, following talks with the police Allama Nasir Abbas Multani’s body has been shifted to the Jinnah Hospital for autopsy, while the angry demonstrators, staging sit-in since last night, said their sit-in in front of the Governor House would continue.
Meanwhile, police registered Allama Nasir Abbas’s murder case in Garden Town police station in Lahore. The case was registered against two unidentified motorbike riders under sections terrorism and murder on the complaint of the driver of Shia cleric.
