No sign of Afghan Taliban factor in Balochistan: Home minister

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti has termed reports about presence of Afghan Taliban in the province as baseless and far from reality, and said that there is no sign of Afghan Taliban factor in Balochistan.

His statement came two days after the foreign media reported the killing of two Taliban leaders in Quetta, the provincial capital.

The Balochistan Home Minister said that he has no information about the killing of Taliban leaders.

Bugti said that foreign hands are involved in the prevailing unrest in the province.

The home minister further said that the provincial government will take strict measures to establish writ of the government. He said that the government wants to talk to the estrange Baloch leaders for peace and development of the province.
