SHIKARPUR: At least two persons were injured in a suicide blast that targeted the convoy of a National Peoples’ Party (NPP) candidate in Shikarpur on Wednesday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
However, Dr Ibrahim Jatoi, NPP candidate from NA-202 constituency in Sindh, remained safe in the incident.
The suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike with one of the vehicles in Ibrahim Jatoi’s convoy near tool plaza, police said. Two people were reportedly injured and a vehicle was completely damaged.
According to initial reports, Dr Jatoi was on his way from his village to Shikarpur when his convoy was targeted.
