Seven militants killed in Dera Bugti

QUETTA, Pakistan: At least seven militants were killed during an operation in Dera Bugti district of southwestern Balochistan province on Wednesday, according to a Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman.

The FC spokesman said that the security forces conducted a search operation in Haidri Nullah area of Dera Bugti. Subsequently, an exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the militants.

The spokesman said that seven militants involved in sabotaging gas pipelines and attack on the security forces were killed in the exchange of fire.

The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunitions including 30 kilograms explosive material, 20 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), 20 boxes of ball bearings, 30 detonators, four SMGs, one rocket and five-meter wire from possession of the militants.
